Who we are

AATLS provides laboratory testing services, a customer portal (orders.aatls.com), and the AATLS Field mobile application used by our customers' authorized staff to collect water samples and manage water management program activities. This policy covers both the portal and the mobile app.

Information we collect

• Account information — name, email address, and organization details, used to operate your account and authenticate you.
• Sampling and order data — sample details, field readings, chain-of-custody signatures, and related records you create while using the service.
• Location — the AATLS Field app records the device's GPS position at the moment a water sample is collected, to document where the sample was taken. Location is captured only during sample collection, never in the background.
• Device push tokens — if you enable notifications, we store an anonymous device token to deliver order and result updates.

How we use information

We use this information solely to provide laboratory services: processing orders, generating reports and chain-of-custody documents, delivering results, invoicing, and sending service notifications. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except service providers required to operate the service (such as payment and accounting processors) and where required by law.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to customer data is restricted to authenticated users of the owning organization and authorized laboratory staff.

Retention and deletion

Laboratory records are retained as required by applicable regulations and accreditation standards. You may request deletion of account data that we are not legally required to retain by contacting us.

Children

Our services are business tools for adult professional users and are not directed at children under 18.
